2025 at Little Boy Resort

Being a Grandparent, wow! What a feeling.

I know many people say there is nothing like being a grandparent—but you never truly understand that feeling until it’s you. The joy that filled our lives every day was simply amazing. These little ones have completely changed our world.

Finn turned one in March. We see him on FaceTime once a week, spent time together when the family visited the resort in June, and just traveled to Texas for a Christmas visit with everyone. Those moments mean everything.

Sawyer was with us every single day all summer long. What a joy she is—such a good baby. She played well on her own, entertained many of our guests, and spent countless evenings with her papa doing garbage runs, riding in the side-by-side, or hanging out up at the house. Having Jordan and Robert living so close and bringing Sawyer over each day has been incredibly rewarding. Raising kids on a resort has many benefits, but seeing that sweet face and getting to play with her every day is the very best one.

Around the resort, little projects are underway and clothing has been ordered for the upcoming season. The new playground was a big hit with the littles this summer, and we have a few more ideas planned for the beach area—it’s such a popular gathering spot on warm summer days. There’s nothing I love more than hearing kids laughing and having a good time.

We want to take this time to thank all of the wonderful people who cross our path throughout the year. The blessings just keep coming, along with so many amazing people. We’ve welcomed many new faces, and some who have returned to Little Boy Resort for the first time since they were kids themselves. I love hearing the stories you share about the years you spent here—and even more, hearing how excited you are to share this special place with your own children.

One more moment stands out to me this year. A young college-aged man from Chicago came up for the weekend and told me he had never been “up north” before. He looked up at the sky and said, “The stars are so bright and beautiful. Is it like that all the time?” I told him, “When the sky is clear, yes it is.” He replied, “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Which brings me to the Christmas Star.

May it shine bright, and may your Christmas season be filled with joy, laughter, and love.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
